In your Framer project, navigate to the Assets tab and create a new code file. Replace the example code with the code override, then add it to a layer in the "Code Override" section of the properties panel.

In most cases, Framer's custom cursor feature is better than using this override. However, this override allows you to attach a custom layer to the cursor inside of layers with overflow set to hidden, whereas custom cursors are not able to be clipped to another layer. This makes it useful for adding hover effects such as glow or gradients to buttons and other elements, which is not possible with custom cursors.
